My local Kroger grocery store opened at 7am. I got there at 7:15am. The lot was already 3/4 full. Went in straight to the eggs. The shelves were empty. Due to sheer luck, a stocker was walking by to stock a different dairy items. I asked about the eggs. Turned out, the daily Kroger delivery truck was a no show. So what was on the shelves was all the store had. As he was reaching back into his crates to pull another item, to his surprise were two 18 packs of eggs! I got one and another lady on the other side of the shelf overheard and rushed over to get the other.
So, a positive start to the day.
Oddly before this, I was thinking of songs that captured my mindset the past couple of days. I had one in mind... until this morning. So pick your poison.

Yeah I need to do my regular grocery run, my last one was a little over a week ago before the panic washed over my city . Little worried since I need my regular staples like eggs, milk, chicken, but I fear the worst. There are four grocery stores near me, I figure I’ll go to the high end one and hope for the best since they don’t sell anything other than food (no soap, sanitizer, TP, stuff like that).

Had a similar experience at my pet food place. They only had the little bags of what my dogs eat. I commented at checkout that they they looked pretty cleaned out and she said “oh I think we have some big bags in back” and pulled out a 40 lbs bag for me while I restocked the 16 lbs bag . It was a good thing.
Also I’m feeling slightly guilty for having 4 dozen jumbo eggs in the fridge, but when we bought most of them (weeks ago) I was moving through 2-4/day. Also I like hard boiled eggs so that is what most of them are destined to be.

Good luck. If you don't do it today, you may want to wait for Monday morning and hope the restocking trucks show up.

Better with the eggs than hoarding TP

The ladies are laying around two dozen eggs a day right now. We probably have 25 dozen in stock. If anyone wants to visit rural MI we have eggs. The wife gets $2.50 a dozen.

Most of the stores near me are not that bad, to be honest. You just have to go in the mornings or early afternoon. Walmart seems to be handling it worse than King Soopers (Kroger), but the shelves still have plenty of stuff available. Even at the Walmart the paper shelves were empty but they had pallets of product in the middle of the aisle, and just handing items to people in a small line that moved very fast. They didn’t look like they were going to run out anytime soon.
I had gone to Target last week and even though they were out of whole eggs they did have quarts of Egg Beaters and egg whites.

I had liquid eggs the past 4 days. I was beyond sick of them on day 1, but had to use them up.
Funny thing that I noticed on my receipt was that it showed 2 cartons scanned when I only have one. I'm too sleepy to give a shit about it now

I know a guy in Wisconsin who runs a pretty good sized egg setup. Quite a few breeds and so on. Sold them online around the world and locally. During the growing season used all his abundance of natural fertilizer to grow a few things on his large acreage. I can’t imagine the money he rakes in now.

It is just a hobby for us. We raise meat birds and 2 pigs every year also. We will probably get 2 cows this summer. The well raised food is way better than store bought. With the added benefit of a years worth of meat in the freezer.

Luckily it's not like I have no food, I just wanted to cook something different. I'll take my chances and check it out once I'm done work for the day. I'd have already gone if some dummy didn't schedule a meeting at the end of day Friday. Total dick move.

They’ve never bothered me. About 10 years ago when I was on Weight Watchers I had them every day. The Kroger store brand is the best IMHO.
Maybe they laced your eggs to make you too sleepy to challenge them on the charge. #eggluminati
